Meet Katie

"A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself." ~Maryham Hasnaa

I’m a psychotherapist who cares deeply about helping people reconnect — with themselves, with their emotions, and with the relationships that matter most. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, grief, C/PTSD, depression, relationship stress, or major life transitions. Often, they’re tired of just “getting through” and want to feel more present, grounded, and connected in their own lives.

I believe therapy isn’t about fixing you — it’s about helping you access the strengths and insight you already carry. Even when you feel overwhelmed or unsure, there is wisdom there. Sometimes it just needs space, safety, and support to come forward.

The relationship we build in therapy matters. I’m committed to creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported — but also engaged. My style is nurturing and direct.  I’ll be with you in it — curious, honest, and willing to gently challenge patterns that no longer serve you. Growth can feel vulnerable, but you won’t be doing it alone.

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating. If you’re considering it, that already tells me something about your courage and readiness. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, clarity, and a more connected, emotionally steady life.

When I’m not in session, I’m someone who deeply values connection and adventure. I’ve had the privilege of living abroad and traveling to different parts of the world, experiences that expanded my perspective and shaped the way I understand people and relationships. Learning from diverse cultures and communities continues to influence how I show up — both personally and professionally.

At home, I’m a proud mom to two energetic boys who keep life full, loud, and meaningful. Our dogs add their own kind of joy to the mix, and I’m grateful to share my life with a supportive partner as we continue growing alongside one another.

We call New Mexico home, and the wide-open skies and rugged landscape ground and inspire me daily. Nature, movement, and time with my family help me stay connected to what matters most.
