Brainspotting
What is Brainspotting? Brainspotting was born from EMDR. It works off the premise that “where you look affects how you feel”. It uses relevant eye positions to tap into the body’s natural self-scanning and self-healing ability.
A brainspot is a way of identifying, processing, and releasing subcortical sources of emotional and physical pain. It was initially developed to help people with PTSD or trauma-based situations, but has proven effective with a wide variety of emotional and somatic conditions including: anxiety, depression, emotional abuse, low self esteem, shame, and much more.
